Raffles

My bottle of wine (see yesterday's Blip) raised £18.

Well, £16 cash and an IOU from Heather. I guess we meet 46 times in the year, so that's £828 per annum. Mostly the cash goes to Rotary's End Polio Now campaign.

Our District Governor was our guest speaker this morning. He was very good. A big advocate for change.

Anyway, he told us there have been only 2 cases of polio reported in the last 12 months. Makes our wee raffle seem worthwhile.

Mike has to visit every club in the district during his year as DG. Dunfermline is about as far south as he'll go. Shetland as far north. Stornoway as far west. He's wearing it well.
