Gently down the stream

By Miranda1008

Here today?

This is where I'd like to have been on this glorious day of sunshine - down by the river blipping the swans who are nesting there now.  But as I can't get out yet, here is a wonderful wood engraving from Thomas Berwick's History of British Birds.  The feather is indeed a swan's feather - rather grubby - which has been sitting in the porch for about 3 weeks.  It made sense to put them together.

Apart from that, another kind friend came visiting me this afternoon to show me his new camera.  He also has not been at all well.  I am trying to turn him into a blipper - as we all know, it's a cure for anything.

Enjoy your evenings and I hope tomorrow goes well for you  xx
