Behind bars

Mike had an appointment in Dingwall today so I went along and went for a walk from the pond behind Tesco down to Ferry Point. I had nt walked this part of the River Peffery before , wider than the river nearer to the Ferry Point with buildings either side and the usual rubbish from towns .Nature seems to overcome these problems as patches of snowdrops and crocus seemed to be doing well. There is some restoration work going on http://cromarty.dsfb.org.uk/files/2013/03/Peffery-WTT-article.pdf
Further along , over the railway track, the river runs next to Ross County Football Ground. The practise area was being mown with no players sen today.
This little thrush was the other side of the fence, just sitting there watching the world go by. A few friendly robins, Great, blue and coal tits flew down to eat the seed I had remembered to take this time. The tide was in , a few mallard, wigeon , a grebe and possibly a Common merganser were on the firth. My new waterproof coat worked well when I was caught in a shower !

At Brownies tonight we went to the Land of Dreams and made Dream catchers.
