I was at work! And then came home. The bliddy tram times on the mobile app were so wildly different from the tram departure board that I photographed both and tweeted them side by side to @ed-trams or whatever it is. That's the sort of grumpy old divot that a day at work turns me into.
I cheered myself up at home by reading an article called, Millions of ordinary Americans support Donald Trump. Here's why, by Thomas Frank. A fine illuminating read, which we see little of over this side of the Atlantic. Far easier to poke fun at him, and name call his followers as racists and idiots. Frank is certainly no apologist, calling him an insult clown, and gold plated buffoon. Frank's point is that when you actually look at Trump's speeches, he spends the majority of his time talking about trade. To the people whose jobs are going to Mexico, and to China. To the people who've ended up poorer thanks to the wonders of globalisation and free trade.
Not dissimilar to the responses to the breakdown of social democracy over here in Yooorrup. Not that I'm a fan - he even retweeted a quote by bloody Mussolini! Mind you, there's something appealing about trams that run to time.
