Postcard from Penzance

The wind has dropped, and the sun is shining.
After picking up the fish from Newlyn.
(6 plaice for £5. Total weight 1.6 kg. Three given to C and G next door. No way could we eat them all!)
We went into Penzance for the first time this holiday.
Decided I would do a collage to remind me of of the day.

Camellia, and Magnolia in Morrab Gardens. ( where my grandfather started as an apprentice gardener in the 1890's)
View over the bay to Newlyn,
The Scillonian three. Ferry boat to the Scilly Isles. Starts the new season on 14th March.
Palm trees in the gardens up Morrab road.
The Broccoli Juggler. A life size bronze sculpture of a farmer who is apparently juggling the various stresses and strains of his life. Given to Penlee House Gallery in 2015, by St Just based artist, Kurt Jackson.
The Egyptian House built in 1835 and now owned by the Landmark Trust.
The banjo busker.

Can't believe that tomorrow is our last day.The holiday has just flown!
