Life through the lens...

Tate Modern

Actually is closed for repairs, but there are dozens of other galleries to visit in St Ives, and after looking at all the different artists, I thought this shot looked liked one of their paintings.

Cornwall has saved the best until last.
Our last day here. How it has flown.
We woke to a beautiful blue sky, but there was a keen frost on the ground.
Something we are not used to in Cornwall.
However by the time we drove to Lelant to catch the train into St Ives, the frost had melted, and the day was glorious.
Having been used to wrapping up well for the cold winds, we had far too many clothes on.
The temp. was 14C but felt more like 20+ in the shelter of the harbour, which is where we stopped at a little cafe for our morning coffee.
Sat outside in the sunshine, watching the world go by.
St Ives is so very busy in Summer, but at this time of year it perfect. Quiet, but not dead.
Everyone was so happy to see the sun and feel it's warmth.
We spent a a wonderful day walking along the sand, and round the town.
A very enjoyable lunch of mussels in white wine, garlic and cream sauce, with a glass of white sauvignon blanc.

Now just got the packing to do as we leave tomorrow.
Stopping near Gloucester on the way home. So the holiday is not quite finished!

Many thanks for your kind comments stars and hearts while we have been away. All very much appreciated.
Hope you all have a great weekend.

I have put a Postcard from St Ives on extras.
