A Good Cure For Drought

When OilMan and Ozzie left this morning, it wasn't raining hard. They chose a route through what's left of the field because the level trails had turned into creeks and Ozzie was in heaven while OilMan clung to the fence on higher ground. By the time they got home again, Ozzie was very tired and very wet. OilMan was just very wet. I took the extra picture through the front door which is always smeared with doggy nose marks. Today, the reflection of my tiger striped pajamas gave Ozzie a whole new look.

My day?
Changed the clocks that aren't smart enough to change themselves to Daylight Savings Time
Read the "Big papers"
Put on some jeans and a sweatshirt
Read all the comments on Blip
OilMan took me to Dancing Goat for an Aztek Mocha…WooHoo!!
Sat on the couch knitting and watching golf
Emboldened by trip to Dancing Goat, went across the street to take a picture of the creek
Sat on the couch knitting  and ignoring the baseball game
Waited for OilMan's report on checking the "rain gauge", a bucket left outside
Six inches of rain since Thursday. Just right to refill the reservoirs and bring the average up to normal, but not enough yet to refill the depleted aquifers and raise the water table. We know a lot more about these things than we did when our water didn't come from a well….

Thank you for asking, I'm feeling a little better every day. Ready to slay some dragons tomorrow which is my birthday.
