The Beach

6.4C with a hint of haar. Not misty but feeling slightly damp and dull. Light Easterly breeze.

Maeve and I went for a walk after lunch. Runrig on the Nano (The Story). We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. As we walked down the track we met the farmer. He had walked up from the unploughed field to one side of the track. "Cold wind" was the extent of the conversation. He wasn't wrong. I could see the muck spreader over in the field where the farmer had been.

We walked along the cycle path to Westhaven and went over the road bridge over the railway and down to the beach. The sea was calm. The tide had just started to come in. Not a soul to be seen on the beach today. . Another Westhaven beach photo today. I was as devoid of inspiration as this scene was devoid of sun.

We had a wander along the beach as far as the fishermen's huts then came back along East Row. We crossed back over the road bridge and carried on round in a loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.
