A Day Worth Recording

The tree works continue today, but nothing as dramatic as yesterday's felling; mostly taking dead branches out of established trees and generally tidying up.

On advice from the arborist, we've had one yew lowered by a couple of metres (not that you'd notice, it's still big).  That's widened our view of the Cotswolds substantially, though today probably wasn't the day to try and photograph it.

I spent most of the day reshaping pieces of old (i.e. Cambridge house) hardwood window frame into finials for the refurbished pavilion. Have to say I'm quite pleased with them; they might even get blipped tomorrow when they're finished.
