Funials

Over the last couple of days I've been cutting a new pair of finials for the 1930's garden pavilion that's being restored at the moment.  The design is based on the original, though the original was a tad phallic so I went for something a bit more pointy.  I did find I had a section that was roughly cubic, and well, this is a house of games...

I wonder if, in another 80 years, the next restorer will wonder if this was a gambling den!
