Secret Garden

It can be a little frustrating being in an office and realising that outside it is one of those rare blue sky days.

So at lunchtime I went for a little walk up the road. Took a picture of the blue sky through a tree canopy. Looks OK. Took a picture of two adjacent postboxes. Looks boring. Then noticed the Age Concern Salford offices across the road, remembered being told by a councillor last year that he had to leave a meeting to open a garden, saw an open gate - and wandered across the road.

At the back of the building is a little, very well tended garden. A little greenhouse, a small lawn with a bench, lots of vegetable planting in containers and boxes (courtesy of Incredible Edible Salford). And a bit of artwork, which has a theme of remembrance. All looked after by a local gardeners club, who do a good job.

There is also a little café. I might have my lunch there one day. I probably qualify !
