Chasing

FAB day today. It was the thanksgiving service for my littlest goddaughter, Olivia Rose. We got there pretty early, as a friend had kindly given us a lift, so had a nice time chatting with her little friends before. She was so good during the service - its a church we went to when we lived in the village, and its a really family-orientated church. The children were quietly chattering, giggling and colouring, playing with instruments a little less quietly but it was all great. The service was lovely. A fantastic celebration of Olivia, of the journey her family have been through to get to this stage, and of the rest of their family too. When I had to stand up and do my godmummy bit, Katie happily sat on her chair just watching and grinning at me. Part way through the children went out for juice and biscuits, and she trotted off merrily with her friends.

After the service in the new hall, we had a wonderful time over lunch with friends we spend nowhere near enough time with at the moment. Yummy food, super gorgeous cake, and really very good company. Lots of laughter, lots of happiness. And cuddles from scrummy goddaughters.

Katie fell asleep not long after we got home, at about 3.15. She stayed asleep 2 1/2 hours. It then was 3 hours before she was ready to go to bed, little monkey. She played beautifully though, did lots of water painting, chalking, and "mummying" with her baby.

At one point today, Katie was asked what she wants to be when she grows up. Her answer.... "A ballerina. A pink one. And my grandadgranny will watch me".
