The running of the Hairtail

The Hairtail are in our harbour and like magic, the Hairtail fishers have appeared.  They usually congregate in the morning and evening along the harbour foreshore at Cottage Creek.   They have been there for most of this week and seem to be largely Chinese.   It is quite a family affair with Mum and kids often putting lines in too.  I think in the space of 10 minutes I would have seen twice as many of these fish pulled out of the harbour.  Apparently they make good eating.  The fish are also known as cutlass fish and my word they look like they are chrome plated.
