Building Momentum

The automotive place used to be open for oil changes on Sunday mornings so I took a ride over. My car had been chugging and coughing and screaming, "Please unclog me!" for a couple of weeks.

But they were closed. I just walked out front of the place and took this photo of the view. Larger view.

We have had thunderstorms every day since Thursday and these clouds were just starting the slow build up to what would be another afternoon of darkness and stormy weather.

It's all good, though. It comes down fast and furious. Seldom as a long soaking rain, which is what we really hope for to restore our water tables. But even a quarter inch is better than no rain and it must sustain us for eleven months.

Now, on to watch the lightening display over the mountains for the rest of the night.
