The Half Mile to the Church

13.5C bright and sunny. Light WNW breeze.

Grocery shopping this morning at Sainsburys and in M&S at City Quay/Gallagher Retail Park in Dundee.

Before lunch Apothecary7 and I took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk. We went up to the church then turned right to walk down the field with the bridle path to the shore road.

We walked along the cycle path towards Westhaven, where I stopped to capture a wide shot of the view back up the half mile to the church including the bridle path on the right of shot. We carried on round in a loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.

After lunch I sat down to watch the new Channel 4 coverage of F1. I had heard the result on Radio 2 at 7am ... thank you BBC. No warning of the upcoming result again! The program was good, no quality drop from BBC coverage I thought. Commentary duties in the safe hands of DC. Bonus in Lee McKenzie's extended role and Mark Webber as analyst.

Apothecary7 decided to work outside, choosing what pots from the ridiculously large pile accumulated in the garage would be coming with us and which could go. There was a break for tea and scones with plum jam. Some lavender pruning followed.
