The King Of The World Spot

A gorgeous day in St. John's, Antigua today!  The weather was perfect with sunny skies and low humidity.  We docked right in the center of the downtown area, and had a very pleasant stroll around, admiring the colourful buildings and taking photographs of the local sights.

This afternoon, we were invited to a special cocktail party in honour of those who have been on board all the way around South America.  It was held on the open deck at the bow of the ship -- an area normally off limits to passengers.  Apparently the crew is allowed to use this space whenever they have free time, and they call it the "Steel Beach".  This image shows what I think of as "The King of The World" spot (think of Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic ...)  You can see the shops and buildings of downtown St. John's, and also the shadow of the photographer!

We're off to San Juan in Puerto Rico tomorrow ...
