Relaxer

That's what today has been. A complete chill out. My head woke up less than impressed with the chill it received at yesterday's diving so it was a welcome relief that we'd already decided to do less diving than we first intended.

We had a wonderful leisurely breakfast followed by a walk along the promenade in the warm sunshine. Much, much warmer than yesterday, in fact.  A mix of characterful locals and tourists lined the sea front and I couldn't resist a few photos of them.  This fellow was lost in his own thoughts for a long time.

Rich was keen on trying out a new coffee shop and plumped for one in the distance. When we got there, we tried to request a latte, then a coffee with lots of milk, then just coffee with milk.

With a little groan and chuckle, we were amused to be delivered a traditional volcanic strength Vietnamese hot coffee percolating into a tall glass with a globule of condensed milk in the bottom (mine had two globules) and a bowl of ice on the side. We managed to request more milk and sugar and somehow, Rich was able to drink mine with the extra globule of condensed milk that was delivered with the sugar in a tiny cat's saucer.  I knew my little system wouldn't cope with that but it was another great local experience within a very touristy area (extra).

We headed back along the front, stopping at my favourite coffee shop from yesterday where a western coffee was understood and most welcome.

After drinking our lattes, Rich concluded that here would be our venue of choice. (Phew!)

It's now feet up by the pool, overlooking the sea front for the foreseeable future. I feel truly relaxed.
