Hidcote

Ann picked me up after my blood test and we went off the the National Trust property Hidcote Manor Garden in the Cotswolds.

It was raining by the time we arrived so it was straight inside for coffee (it would have been anyway even if it wasn't raining).

Although it was still raining, though not very much, we braved the weather for a look round, starting with the kitchen garden and hot house, which has a leaky roof from quite a few places.  We then wandered through some of the other 'outdoor rooms' as laid out by Lawrence Johnston ending by the haw-haw the other side of which sheep where grazing with their baby lambs.

This plant is in the hot house, I'm not sure what it is but I was taken by the elegance and striking red colour.

Early blip today as we're off out with Tom to the Dirty Duck this evening for a meal.
