Cake!

End of term and this afternoon our celebration of success.  It was a market place and the classes and activities put on displays and information about their work.  There were competitions, chocolate eggs and lots and lots of cake. The cake in the blip was made by our cookery group most of whom received cookery and food hygiene certificates.  I have the great honour and privilege of giving out the certificates to all those who had achieved.  For many of our members it is the first certificate they have ever received, the first mark that they can achieve and have skills and abilities. Embarrassing I won the 'guess the cost of the shopping basket' competition.  I donated the egg to the tutor, a student, who is moving on to a permanent job.

We had two visitors from London today, valued colleagues from HR and Finance who give us a lot of support in the work we do.

Came home to do more phoning about the Manor.  J and D are here now so the load is spread. An emergency care package has been agreed for the weekend and there are more family around this weekend to visit.

The Sauv Blanc, and tv were a good diversion.  'Line of Duty' was excellent.

Tomorrow 5 day break starts.
