If you can't beat them...

Farmers Bridge Locks

I had time to kill before my Scrutineers briefing and registration at 11:30 so as it was such a beautiful day I decided to have a walk down Farmers Bridge Locks on The Birmingham & Fazeley Canal.

As the Canal & River Trust website say "The canal plunges down through dramatically floodlit archways, office undercrofts and claustrophobic tunnels.  It is a truly atmospheric link to the past".  A slightly flowery description but a fascinating place never the less.

I was fortunate in that I arrived at the same time as "Beau" a hire boat from Black Prince.   They were glad of my help so I had an enjoyable morning helping to work the boat down the flight.
