This is Blip!

We left the stunning Kerr Bay this morning on our trek back to Christchurch which will take two days. Due to a comment from TeeJay on my blip of a rusty old truck a few days back, we sorted an impromptu blipmeet as we were coming back through Murchison today. TeeJay suggested the Red Barn as the coffee was superior, and she was right. We were met by TeeJay and friend Adrienne then, shortly after, Farmer Girl arrived and we had a great hour or so of blipchat and conservation, the dreaded mobile phones, possum poisoning and bee saving! Wherever you go blippers just turn out to be special folks with whom you have instant affinity, lovely.
Sadly we had to drive on so it was in to the endless scenic beauty that is the Lewis Pass. Only two creek names today as they favour streams in this part of the country: Speargrass Creek and Pea Soup Creek.
So it was by Hanmer Springs and Marble Point and back through Waikiri to the coast at which point we called in at Waikuku Beach to see if they had a bed for the night, and they did. We've done the laundry, had a ride on the bikes through the local reserve at Tuhaitara and now we are relaxing with the sound of the surf behind us.
I've struggled over my blip because TeeJay recommended that we stop off at a little tarn in the Lewis Pass and it had a smashing reflection but this one has to be the one for today because it's what blip is about after all. Good to meet you all folks. From left to right: Tony, TeeJay, Adrienne, FarmerGirl, me!
