Retreat Doctors Hospital

Retreat is an often overlooked hospital. It sits squarely within the residential Fan District, fairly close to the Museum District. It's specialties are wound care and geriatric care... which do not seem too appealing to the majority of the populace. Yet, it is a small hospital where you can receive rapid care and one on one attention that you will not receive at some of the larger hospitals.

In recent years there was talk of replacing this hospital with a bigger, better one in the far West End (out in Henrico County). Due to the economic downturn these plans were aborted and Richmond residents have been fortunate enough to keep their neighborhood hospital.
