Laggan View

Bloody freezing day today! Having looked at the forecast I was expecting some snow over at Laggan, even if it did not snow it was predicted to get as low as -4 degC, this was actually -9.5 degC, according to my car.

At Laggan, we were welcomed with some snow, however the skies were clear and there was no wind. We got the bikes out the car and quickly headed up the hill to try and warm up, we also seemed to be the only people there in shorts, odd that!

We climbed up the forest road to the beginning of the upper red, where we decided it was a good idea to lower tyre pressures due to the low grip, and headed up the trail in the fresh snow. Once at the top we were awarded with this amazing view out over Loch Laggan.

Onto the descent back down to the fire road, the trails had a surprising amount of grip, and a little bit of brake could be used to slide around the tight corners. For some reason I was in that bizarre ride over everything flat out mood again, it was brilliant, I even decided it was a good idea to tackle airs rock even though it was covered in snow and ice, bravery or stupidity?

And for a bonus, my knee decided to hold up longer than usual, the stretches seem to be working :)
