Sri Mariamman Temple, Singapore

Day 4

A visit to Chinatown, experiencing the bus and MRT systems. We could learn a few things about queuing systems!

Exiting the MRT, we were hit by colour, lanterns, and our first sighting of a Durian. They are smaller than I expected and yes, they really do smell.

Dim sum at Yum Cha, traditional place, delicious. Then walked around to see this Hindu temple, and the Buddha Tooth temple. We went inside, worship in progress. Incense, bells, drums. Huge tables outside with offerings of food laid out.

So much to take in at every turn. Teapots, chopsticks, kimonos, cakes, coloured houses.
