Portland: First Full Day

You have to love a city where "Honored Citizens" like us --people age 65 or older -- as well as people on Medicare, and those with "a verifiable mental or physical disability," can get a weeklong pass online to ride TriMet buses or light rail all over the Portland metrpolitan area for a week for $7.50 / 6.60 Euro / 5.33 GBP!

No worries about losing our bus tickets, as the pass is on our mobile phones, so off we went to NW Portland (we're staying in SE) to meet Kendall (kendallishere on Blipfoto) for a light meal and catch-up on our lives. She wrote about our time together far more beautifully and thoughtfully than I can on an iPad at this time of night!

Her photo for today, and mine, were taken in Pro Photo, a marvelous camera store where you can ask loads of questions and have in your hands a huge range of cameras -- and there's no sales tax in Oregon, another plus. Phil was the shopper today (I bought a camera there a year or two ago), but decided that more online research was needed tonight before making a final decision and purchase tomorrow.

Another day of 10,000+ steps, easy to do when you're having fun!
