The teenager

Benedict received from the pet food company 'Jimbos', wishing him a happy 1st birthday. It suggested he ask his human staff to print off the attached coupon for a free pottle of meat. 

Benedict's birthday is a best guess of his age by the cat rescue people. One thing is for sure, he has a better life than the one he had. I brought him a new polar fleece blanket for his birthday. It now covers the mohair rug he'd pulled into a suitable position for himself. Hopefully I've ensured the longevity of the mohair rug.

Here he is in his cranky teenager pose. He'd just been attacking the rather lovely felted cat he's holding. That is mine, and not his toy. Within minutes he was cuddled up asleep with it.

Curiously the marketing people at Jimbos supplied a $6 voucher, exactly the price I paid for The Pope's new rug.
