Lesser Celandine...

Another yellow flower that is everywhere at the moment. It has heart shaped leaves and glossy yellow flowers and is called Lesser Celandine. It is a member of the buttercup family. I like it but it can be invasive and gardeners loathe it if it gets into their patch. Farmers hate it even more as it is poisonous and can be fatal to cattle if they eat it. Native to the UK and Europe, it has, somehow, jumped the pond and is running rampant through the forests of the eastern states of the USA where it is regarded as a noxious weed. But I still kind of like it. It’s one of our prettiest spring flowers.
