Magical Norman

Norman is 93, stone deaf and has no legs, he is a Quaker and very positive and happy, he is Mum's best friend at the home, they eat supper together, he has his own motorised chair and comes to visit her regularly. Yesterday we had chocolates together and Mum was keen for him to see some old photos of Gerry and her when she was young and of her parents and other family, he was so attentive and said how lovely Gerry looked and that you could tell he was a kind man, he also said that Lizzie didn't look any different and that the spark that was her was still very much in evidence.

We called Gerry's family to talk about music and readings for the funeral and to thank them for the lovely flowers and chocolates.

I wasn't planning to visit today but my brother isn't well and so couldn't come over.

Earlier in the day I went to Morden Hall Park on my own via train and tram, it was lovely and peaceful there and the extra photo shows the water wheel.

Relaxing evening with the family.
