Sunflies sunning

I have been feeling a bit unwell today, my eyes ache and I have had a niggling headache.
After work I went for a quick trip to the local Southwater Country Park to see what I could find sunbathing on the vegetation that surrounds the car park.
Luckily I wasn't disappointed and soon spied this Sun fly which I think is Heleophilus pendulus, sitting on a bramble leaf.
A common little hover in this area, but a real beauty too and a very welcome flash of springtime colour and worthy entry for tinytuesday
