Bramber castle

Following a trip to Shoreham this morning to pick up some free bookends (and other free stuff!) Charlii and I decided to visit Bramber castle on the way home.
Bramber castle is a Motte and Bailey castle founded by William de Braose in the late C11. The castle was ruined during the C16 due to subsidence the gatehouse (seen in my blip) is the only large structure remaining today.
We had a wonderful time there playing with shadows (see extras).
This afternoon I went to check on my Early Purple orchids growing beside the road, and found an amazing strip of woodland absolutely FULL of them, it was truly amazing, I have added a low to ground shot as another extra, just to show you how stunning it was!
