Schiphol Sunset Saga

We had most of the day docked in Basel, Switzerland, and enjoyed a walk around this lovely city where I managed a couple of nice street shots. Mrs BB and another couple did not want to see another Catheral so my visit was vetoed.

We had a 45 minute connection flight on landing at Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam before getting on the Bristol flight. A tight schedule at the best of times, made even worse by having to go to a different terminal and the thorough airport security (good thing) - a stupid mother/daughter delayed proceedings by having an abundance of prohibited articles in the bags and arguing with security about it.

The end result was that the plane was waiting for the four of us (another delighful couple from Worcester (a retired bank manager)) and when we got ti the gate the staff had to check we could still go! A right lot of stress and saga.

The effort was rewarded by a super sunset that stayed with us all the way on the 55 minute flight, even as we landed at Bristol. The main blip photo is taken as the plane was speeding along the runway for take-off.

A flight I won't forget in a hurry!
