Maraschino mist

Dashing around like the proverbial blue-arsed fly for much of the day, preparing for the forthcoming Lincoln field meeting. By the time I had a chance to think about photography, the light was fading and there was a lively breeze. Not the ideal conditions for photographing blossom, so I took a rather different approach from normal, using maximum aperture to obtain a very soft effect. There was only time to take four photographs, and this was the family favourite. I've put an alternative in the extras.
