A slice of Lesley's life

Salad Days*

A nod to Shakespeare400.

But really an excuse to take a photo of my giant celery bought at the new market in town. It's held in the playground of Anna's school and is only in its second week but there was a good range of stalls so hopefully it will stick around. Anna is writing our names to go on their mailing list in show of our support.

Having been away from home for a couple of days combined with having only walked 3.5k steps yesterday I kind of hurled myself at today. And it certainly worked on the steps front...20k+. The day has mainly consisted of a long dog walk, laundry, barrecore, paying some bills, dog food shopping, stupidly buying a squeaky Homer toy that of course Albi loves and wants to play with whilst we want to watch TV, and remotely designing a bathroom in Spain.

And then Chinese take-out, the unexpectedly good Michael McIntyre Saturday night show and BGT. And now the unexpected surprise bonus of the new series of Kimmy Schmidt.

Jackson has had an okay day in the backdrop to all that. Still slightly recovering from the hospital stay but overall not too bad. He did have to cancel a friend coming over which made him a little down but hopefully I will soon be turning my energies to helping him organise a mad catch-up social life.

Interestingly today has also revealed that the male members of our family feel like their eyes are being stabbed out when they wear an eye-mask.

And of course, first there was coffee.
