place good for planting

Off on our mini holiday, to Sekinchan, the rice bowl of Malaysia.  We took the scenic route, quite twisty and eventually got there at lunchtime, as planned.  Much research had been done so we had a great, and very cheap seafood lunch in a restaurant frequented by locals.

We stayed in the PadiBox, a homestay made from brightly painted containers. Very comfortable and great AC.  After checking in we went to check out the padi exhibition andfgot free samples of rice.  then to the beach which as the book said wan't very clean.  But Olivia had a great time playing bubbles - much shouting of 'bubbles!'.

We climbed the watchtower to see the sunset but it ducked behind clouds just after 7 so it was off to another restaurant for hot pot.  Not the best according to the expert but Olivia had a great time running around and #1 son eventually found beer!

We bought takeaway cake and back to the Padibox to eat cake and blow bubbles.  A good day.
