Dipchick Up A Tree

I haven't been to Fishers Green for a while and it was the noise I noticed first. The gulls, coots and geese were making a proper commotion on Seventy Acres Lake. The bushes on the banks were full of songbirds including Cetti's warblers shouting at the top of their voices and blackcaps singing their hearts out. The reeds were alive with the complex conversational and scolding songs of reed and sedge warblers.

Nests were everywhere, as were chicks. My pic shows a moorhen climbing a small tree (badly) to get to the fresh young leaves. A swan is sitting on her nest in the background.
