Wesley's blackbird

My boss and I decided to go for a walk over to Hoxton Square at lunchtime, and as we were about to walk past Wesley's Chapel on City Road, we were both saying we'd never been in - so we decided to pop in for a quick look.  Interesting to finally see inside, and we loved the stained glass panel in the ceiling of the tiny Foundery Chapel (in the extras).  As we popped out into the little garden area at the back (where John Wesley's grave is) and spotted this blackbird, it started to rain, so we took shelter for a minute, then headed back in through the chapel and spoke to the steward in there.

The rain had more or less stopped by then, so we carried on to Hoxton Square - then of course as we were at the furthest point from work, it started to rain, and then hail, really heavily.  By the time we got back to the office we were somewhat soggy, but we managed to see the funny side.

Had a productive afternoon at work, then headed home to Tim to start the long weekend :)

(I took what I think is a much better photo than this today, but the blackbird one better reminds me of the day - so I've bunged the other one from the Barbican highwalk in the extras.)
