Arty

Well last night turned out NOT to be a quiet night at home.  After talking to J we headed out to Publika and Boat noodle, for kind of noodle tapas.  Then a rake round Daiso (the Japanese 5RM store) and the hardware store opposite.  I bought a mercury min/max thermometer.  there was also much playing with papier mache mini tapirs in an installation in the Mall, lifting up,moving around and putting back down again.  great fun.  It was after 10 before we got back.

There were various plans for today, none of which happened.  Instead the 4 of us and #4 sister drove to Merdeka Square and then spent some time at the art and craft exhibition part of Urbanspaces, a 2 week festival.  It felt a bit Summerhally.  It was definitely a kid friendly space and Olivia was able to run around and look at the art and generally enjoy herself.  The skateboard exhibition with a skate ramp was an especial success.

After that we had some lunch at LOKL cafe and then to the Textile Museum, housed in one of KL's historic buildings.  It's free and was fairly interesting.  A deluge as we were set to leave sent us back to the cafe for more ices coffee and cake.  Olivia stood at the door of the building and shouted 'rain, rain' much to the amusement of the other sheltering from the wet.

We had a quick look at ' I heart KL' then home for a rest.  Olivia splashed in her 'paddling pool' on the balcony for a bit,. I dozed and #1 d in l slept.  She deserves it especially as she has to be up at 4 tomorrow to take #4 to Sentral en route for Sarawak.

Now #1 son has  gone out and the girls have had pizza and beer (me) and more 'Despicable Me 2'.

Been watching the weather and the snow at home.  Here it is SO hot and SO humid.  A bit of chilly weather wouldn't come amiss.
