Gougane Barra

En route to North Cork we took a coffee break at Gougane Barra. This is St Finbarr's oratory - one of the most photographed sites in Cork, and very popular spot for weddings.  It is impossibly beautiful. And yes, there is a holy well for this is also a place of pilgrimage and there are complicated rounds to follow. It was perishing though - see extra for what happened in the next two minutes!
