Learning day by day

Mayday at Little Venice

Will's turn for a day in London. This had been postponed since the beginning on the Easter holidays. I had no real plans so we made it up as we went along.

We walked from Kings Cross to National Gallery to see Van Gogh's Sunflowers at Will's request and then viewed a number of other paintings at his request, until I got 'hangry' so we stopped for lunch. Next on his list was a visit to Horse guards to see the soldiers, a walk round St. James's Park to see Buckingham Palace and realise we were infact too early to see the Pelicans being fed.

From there we walked through St. James's Park, Green Park and Hyde Park to Bayswater Road, where to his delight we got not one but two buses to Little Venice, just in time to catch the end of the May Day Festival. Must remember this next year and get there earlier.

Bless him, Will walked over 7 miles today. No wonder he went straight to sleep tonight. C came back from N&P's still with her horrible cough. We watched a bit of Carlos Acosta's Cuban Night, that I recorded for her about 2 years ago. She loved it. A lot of contemporary type dancing, not really my thing, but she enjoyed it...

Back to school tomorrow.
