Catching the Rays

This Oyster Catcher was catching the early sun down on the river this morning.

By way of update on the peregrine family,  according to the feeding behaviour the  young hatched last Friday but no sightings yet. The extra photo is an insight into their regular life. The female is seen carrying her unfinished carcass into the larder, that dark storage hole in the corner. When either of them is hungry again they will go to the larder before catching more prey.

In my garden blue tit box. with camera. we now have 9 eggs. The female is sitting and the male doing his duty feeding her. She regularly sticks her bottom in the air head down and turns the eggs. It's all exciting to watch :-)
