Meeting again My Oystercatcher Friends

The sea. How would she be? Cold, distant and blue perhaps. Utterly indifferent.  Or would she notice any change in being after after all this time? How would I dress for our meeting? Could we go barefoot in the wet seaside sands? Our first day back at sea starting from many insecurities. After finding my bike keys and pumping up our tyres, we took the sunny duneway toward our favorite ”Thalassa”-dune. From there you get a splendid half round panorama-view. Turning from North to South. Sails on the horizon. Moving white surflines. Some seagulls flying to the South. Salty windflares through your hair. Dunes, harbour piers. Beach walkers. And look, a line of brandnew beach cabins just down here! This used to be the most deserted part, visited only by the lover of loneliness and silence.

And barefoot we crossed over to the seaside. Found that new breakthrough laguna moving slowly to the North. And so we finally walked on to the Zandmotor. Now much flatter, but still a peninsula. And the sea? She was rather cold, calm, flat, green near the coast. More deep blue in the distance. What was she telling and asking? I listened into her rhythmic whispering, the splashing of the tumblers. Look and listen to my messengers, I heard. They can tell you the latest news. We care for the cosmic tunes. Look to the red peckers of our friends: the Oystercatchers. They will point you the Way: walk where you want, together. Fly when you want to fly over my waves. Why? Without any why, just celebrating Life.
