Kilchoan yew

I was over on the other side of Loch Melfort today - and what a glorious day it has been!

This is the view from underneath one of the pair of old yew trees at Kilchoan, and I was told a story about them which I've unfortunately forgotten and can't confirm. I think they were said to have been planted by monks from Iona - shoot me down if you know better - and underneath one is supposed to be a holy spring. It's as good a story as any I've heard today!

My extra is of the view up Loch Melfort from the other side - in both pictures the promontory just left of centre is Arduaine, unusually seen from the 'back'.
