A stone of heritage

For Mono Monday with thanks to our host Nickimags888 who set the theme for today as 'heritage'. As I'm on holiday and far from any of my archives it's Scottish heritage instead. This "Drovers Stone" which I've Blipped before is all to do with the story of the cattle drovers (Scottish cowboys) who brought their herds from the higher lands to the cattle marts, for example from Crieff to Perth, think of the story of Rob Roy :-)  The holiday houses estate of Gleneagles lies on one of those former drover roads, hence this stone which has a set of good wishes on one side and Pictish images of cattle on the other side. The stone was designed by Gordon Young

Thanks very much for your kind comments and stars on yesterday's Burns Blip, very much appreciated
