Waving, not drowning

Dubrovnik: Day 5

The weather is sadly on the turn here in Dubrovnik.  Still, we have had a lovely time.  Today we decided to wrestle with the Croatian public transport system and catch a bus to go and see the Trsteno Arboretum.  This involved taking a bus into Dubrovnik proper, and changing buses at the bus station in order to take a bus to Trsteno.  Needless to say, once away from the glories of the Old Town, like any other modern city, Dubrovnik is not quite as beautiful.  I suspect it would have looked  nicer had the sun been shining.

Those of you who have seen Game of Thrones will be familiar with the Trsteno Arboretum, as it is the place where many of the Kings Landing "garden" scenes were filmed.  

They have a "Renaissance Garden" and this is a shot of Incredibish getting lost, or possibly even (whisper it) stuck.  No surely not!  

My extra is another shot of the same gardens, this time taken inside one of the other run down buildings, looking out at the little cliff top pavilion that once again, featured in Game of Thrones.

Tomorrow is our last day, just as well really as the weather is set to break properly. with thunder storms and rain.  We've known that this weather is on its way all week, and have been saving up the various museums etc., for tomorrow.  I suspect that we are going to need somewhere to go to to try and keep dry ...
