Budweiser Clydesdale

St. Louis has been the home of the Anheuser-Busch brewing company, makers of Budweiser beer, since 1876. Now owned by some huge conglomerate, that I think owns many of our Mexican beers as well, beer is still brewed at the original plant near the river. Because they have been brewing beer there for 150 years the 45 minute plant tour included three historic buildings, including this one where they house, and wash, the famous Clydesdale horses. We enjoyed the tour immensely, viewing the process long with the complex machinery necessary to make the "King of Beers" from start to finish. It didn't hurt that we were provided not one but two free samples during the trip around the massive campus.
