Starlings with stars in there black feahers!

Starlings were in a playful mood this morning  -  see my blip taken through the kitchen window.  I like what American poet Mary Oliver  says of starlings: they have “stars in their black feathers”.  A vibrant poem and I love the last line 'I want to be ..... afraid of nothing as though I had wings'.   You can read the whole poem on YouTube by clicking HERE!   She isn't the only person to love starlings, Mozart kept a pet starling for three years. When it died, he was so upset that he held a funeral as a tribute, with a poem written specially for the occasion. You can read his poem in German and English HERE!  I hope you are all having a peaceful Sunday:)
