Meadow Brown

It was a very warm day, meaning we even had butterflies in the city centre, although normally floating by at quite a height being carried by the wind. It also meant that they were still active when I got home, enabling me to gather a few more pictures of Ringlets, Large Skippers and this Meadow Brown. The Meadow Brown wins out as I haven't blipped one this year, although the wind didn't really lend itself to sharp images.

My eighth blipped butterfly species of the year so far.

Perhaps the Ethiopian flag flying over Bradford to mark Haile Selassie's birthday might have been a better option?
