Painted Dolly

A sunny start clouding over at times during the course of the day.

This morning we went to Riccall near Selby to visit a cousin of Al's who he had not seen for about 40 years!   They had reconnected via social media and we arranged to go and see them.   I had never, of course, met him and neither of us his second wife.   So I was not sure what to expect.

However, it is a small quaint village and they were most welcoming.   We chatted all afternoon - AL and his cousin catching up and me trying to follow.

Early evening we went to their local pub/restaurant and had a good meal.  Quite a busy place for a small village.

In their garden his wife showed me the garden ornaments she paints.   All different things, animals, birds, gnomes etc but the best that I liked were the ones blipped, the little girl and the bicycle.   The bicycle was great but the mop on the wall stopped it from being the main one!

All in all we had a great day and were very tired on our return so an early night in store.
