A Day Worth Recording

backblip

By rights this should be a blip of the rolling Shropshire hills as that's where we spent most of the day, on a long walk through them and back to Clun.

On the way back our B&B host had recommended stopping off at the town of Presteigne. Slightly contrary to our usual habits we also took an 'audio tour' around the Judge's Lodgings in the town.  One surprise was the invitation to sit on the chairs, poke around in the drawers, etc. - all rather more hands-on than NT or EH houses.

In the basement the lighting was by open gas flame.  The commentary indicated that this was essentially being tested on the servants before it was allowed into the main house...

Wended our way back home and had a final family meal before running M&C to the station.
