Picnic!!!

For what I am about to receive, may the Lord make me truly thankful!

Hello Blipfriends!
Dolly reporting! Still in Belgium!

After our very long walk yesterday, Mum decided to let me rest most of the day. She was happy to rest too as that was the whole point of this holiday!  She actually got her nose stuck into a good book - metaphorically speaking - not sure that's even possible with a Kindle!

Later on in the afternoon she started making a sandwich and packing up some other things and said we were going to go on another walk!  A shorter one this time to the other canal. We were also going to have a picnic!  We LOVE picnics!  There was rain forecast later on so we better get going!  And so we did!

You can see the scenes from our walk in the first Extra photo. In the top right photo you can see a line of trees on the horizon. That's the canal where we walked yesterday.  In the bottom right picture you can also see a line of trees on the horizon. On the other side of those trees it is Holland, not Belgium!  The top left picture shows the picnic table where we ate. If you saw our blip from Monday, along with the extra photos, this is the same place. Mum had remembered the picnic table so she thought it was a good spot, and this circular walk was only 2.6 km / 1.6 miles - easier for my little old legs.

As you can see, Mum had brought some nice food and I was very excited!  We got just a few sprinkles of rain but nothing to worry about - it could have been much worse, so we timed it well.

The OTHER Extra Photo:
I wasn't sure about showing you this one, but Mum insisted!  The only NOT nice thing about this holiday is that there's been a CAT lurking around, trying to get inside and always appearing when we've been walking or sitting outside. The bottom left picture is me resting after this walk, and there she is again, spying on me!  The worst incident was yesterday morning!  Mum must not have latched the door well enough when we went to bed and when we came down, who had made herself very much at home on MY blanket??  And WHY does Mum think it's necessary to take these pictures, let alone share them in a blip??  Mum says that this cottage has only just been turned into a holiday cottage (we're the second guests!) and that the owner's daughter had been living here. Maybe she forgot to take her cat with her when she left!  Maybe she's wondering what WE'RE doing in HER cottage?  Says Mum.
